Environmental sustainability has become the main theme of our years. Traditional internal combustion engines are increasingly being replaced by electric motors which require ever greater performance and efficiency. To allow a correct and efficient parallel operation, a technological development of the cooling techniques of the electric motors is necessary. The objective of this study is the improvement of the convective cooling of a reluctance electric motor, analyzing and researching the optimal design that allows a more efficient cooling of the motor itself. With the help of Altair’s computing and modeling software (Inspire, HyperWorksCFD, AcuSolve).
