Levitating rotor blood pump

Spin has designed and manufactured an innovative electric motor with a levitating rotor for a biomedical application: this particular one (dialysis pump) had lots of strict requirements that have been addressed thanks to the technical team expertise and powerful analysis tools. Various aspects of its physics have been analyzed (electromagnetical, thermal, fluid-dynamics, electronic control) in order to optimize the design to the strict specification and ensure its fault tolerance.
